I decided to make my own Cajun seasoning blend for a couple reasons: (1) I like having control over my salt consumption; many blends already have salt added (2) I wanted a blend that had more than just paprika and black pepper. Here’s the recipe for my Cajun seasoning blend. Yes, I added curry powder. I can’t help myself. It’s the Trinidadian in me.

1 Tbsp Paprika
2 Tsp Cayenne Pepper (or less)
1 Tsp Garlic Powder
1 Tsp Onion Powder
1 Tsp Black Pepper
1 Tsp Dried Thyme
1 Tsp Dried Parsley
1 Tsp Curry Powder
