We’re always looking for ways to make brown rice more interesting and in this recipe we’ve added some red cabbage and green onions for additional color and flavor; we even snuck some ginger in there as well. \u00a0Try this dish with any of our\u00a0other vegetable\u00a0<\/a>or meat<\/a>\u00a0recipes. \u00a0This dish is naturally gluten-free, vegan and freezer-friendly.<\/p>\n

INGREDIENTS<\/strong>
\n2 Cups
Brown Rice<\/a>, cooked
\n1 Cup Red Cabbage, chopped
\n1 Cup Yellow Onions, diced
\n1\/2 Cup Green Onions, chopped
\n1 Tbsp Garlic, minced
\n1 Tbsp Ginger, minced
\n2 Tsp
Coconut Oil<\/a>
\n1\/4 Tsp
Red Pepper Flakes<\/a>
\nSalt & Black Pepper to taste
\nOptional:<\/em> 1\/2 Tsp Honey or Brown Sugar
\n<\/div>
METHOD<\/strong>
\n1. In a large skillet or wok heat coconut oil over medium-high heat. \u00a0\u00a0When oil is hot, add garlic, ginger and yellow onions. \u00a0Saute\u00a0vegetables for about 3 minutes; stir frequently.
\n2. \u00a0Add cabbage and \u00a0about 3-4 minutes;\u00a0stir frequently. \u00a0Toss in green onions and red pepper flakes and cook for about 1 minute.
\n3.\u00a0Add rice, brown sugar\/honey, salt and pepper to taste. \u00a0Toss for about 2 minutes until ingredients are evenly distributed.
\n4. Enjoy!<\/p>\n
